Online gaming firm Dangal Games announced plans to launch FantasyDangal, an online fantasy gaming platform. This news comes just ahead of the start of the 2021 Indian Premier League (IPL) season.
“FantasyDangal is our first product outside the card game space so we are excited about how it does. We will begin with cricket and in the next quarter we will add the rest of the games,” said Varun Mahna, the founder and CEO of Dangal Games. “Unlike poker or rummy, fantasy sports caters to the masses so there is no dearth of opportunities to create a huge user base despite being an intensely competitive industry.”
The FantasyDangal application is scheduled to go live this month. It will be focused on Indian and international cricket tournaments played by both men and women. The application will also offer different genres of sports including football, kabaddi, and hockey.
The platform will offer promotions in a variety of sports and gaming segments with real money as a reward. It has introduced an unlimited referral model in FantasyDangal, where users can invite friends to earn bonuses or real cash. Users will be able to convert FantasyDangal points into real cash and can join any cash contests for a particular match.
