EA Expecting Mobile Business To Grow By 200% Over The Next Three Years

Electronic Arts recently announced it expects its mobile gaming business to grow by 200% to $2 billion in net bookings over the next three years. This comes after the company unveiled its quarterly financial results on August 4th.

“When it comes to the mobile gaming industry, it is important to note that the ‘console’ is in the user’s pocket,” said Berenberg analyst Jamie Bass. “Whether one is on the bus to work or waiting in an airport terminal to finally go on holiday again, mobile games remain a persistently tempting and available entertainment option.”

According to IBES data from Refinitiv, EA expects first-quarter revenue to fall from $1.39 billion to $1.28 billion. This reportedly signifies a 7.8% drop in Q1 revenues.
