Entain Will Reportedly Acquire Unikrn For Roughly $68M

On August 12th, Entain announced it had agreed to acquire the esports betting platform Unikrn. The deal is reportedly worth $68.22 million.

As part of this acquisition, it was revealed that Justin Dellario was appointed as the organization’s new Head of Esports. Before joining Entain, Dellario was the VP of Content and Esports for Twitch.

“Entain has built a powerful platform combining our industry-leading technology, people, and capabilities that is driving significant growth in our existing markets, including the U.S., but also enables us to grow into new and emerging markets and opportunities related to our core areas of expertise,” said Jette Nygaard-Andersen, Entain’s CEO. “One exciting opportunity is the growing esports skill-based wagering market. We are building the first scalable platform to address this market and I am delighted that Justin Dellario is joining us to lead our growth in this new area.”

Entain is one of the largest sports betting companies in the world. The organization has over 24,000 employees working in 20 offices in five continents around the globe.
