The social media platform Juked.GG recently agreed to a partnership with the non-profit organization Queer Women of Esports. This deal will see Juked work with Queer Women of Esports to combat toxicity and offensive behavior in the gaming industry.
Juked also said it will release a detailed plan of action to prevent toxic behavior on its upcoming app. The platform said it will do this by allowing fans to discuss topics they care about in more in-depth ways. Moreover, the parties will launch verification systems for app users and use a Keystone Code in their content policy.
QWE will advise Juked on diversity and inclusion efforts for the soon-to-be-released app. Additionally, Juked made a donation of an undisclosed amount of money to QWE.
“Increasing diversity and inclusion in esports is core to our mission at Queer Women of Esports, so when Juked reached out we were excited to consult and as they build a more open, less toxic environment for esports discussion we were excited to get on board,” said Gillian “Kendryx” Langland, COO of Queer Women of Esports. “This has been long overdue in the current landscape and we’re thrilled to be involved.”
