Monster Energy Teams Up With CSL Esports

The esports tournament organizing platform CSL Esports recently unveiled a partnership with Monster Energy for the NACE Starleague. As a result of this deal, Monster Energy Canada will serve as the exclusive energy drink product and presenter for all NACE Starleague events held in Canada during the 2021-22 season.

Additionally, Monster Energy Canada will take part in any initiatives related to U SPORTS Gaming, Canada’s national collegiate esports brand. Moreover, Monster will sponsor the “Top 10 Canadian Esports Power Rankings” while participating in prize giveaways and activations on college campuses.

“We knew from a collegiate esports perspective that we needed to get bigger and that we needed to bring in more mainstream endemic partners like a Monster,” CSL Esports’s CEO Rob Johnson. “That’s why we created NACE Starleague, to pull together some industry-leading companies for North America to really start to validate these student-athletes. We couldn’t be happier to have a partner that can see where collegiate esports is going.”

The NACE Starleague began operations this fall. According to a press release, the league is made up of over 14,500 students from 600 different colleges and universities.
