The esports tournament organizer PGL recently announced it had appointed IMG to globally distribute the media rights for its tournament PGL Major Stockholm. As a result, the event has been broadcast in 25 different languages around the globe.
“The PGL Stockholm Major is set to be the esports spectacle of 2021 with the most competitive fields to date,” said Silviu Stroie, PGL’s CEO. “Partnering with IMG will ensure this exciting event is seen as widely as possible by esports fans across the world.”
PGL Major Stockholm 2021 is a world-famous CS:GO esports tournament that runs from October 26th to November 7th. This year’s prize pool is valued at $2 million.
A total of 24 teams participated in this year’s event. As of 12:45 PM EST on November 5th, 2021, Heroic, G2 Esports, FURIA Esports, Gambit Esports, Na’Vi, and Team Vitality are the six teams left in the tournament.
