Even though Free Fire MAX was released worldwide on September 28th, Garena does not plan on using the enhanced version of the game in esports competitions. This information, which was first reported by Dot Esports, was later confirmed by the game’s publisher.
“There are no immediate plans for Free Fire MAX to be included for esports tournaments. Currently, players will compete in official tournaments with the Free Fire application,” the developer told Dot Esports in an email.
Free Fire MAX will be used in esports competitions for spectator clients. This means that live streams will utilize the enhanced graphics in Free Fire MAX for better viewing experiences.
Free Fire MAX can be downloaded now. The game can be found on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.
