Telecom giant Jio and chip-maker MediaTek, have partnered to present Gaming Masters 2.0, an esports event featuring Battlegrounds Mobile India. Gaming Masters 2.0 comes on the heels of the very successful first edition of the tournament, featuring Free Fire, earlier in the year, which attracted over 14,000 team registrations. The second season of Gaming Masters boasts a prize pool of $16,790 and will commence on November 23rd.
There will also be a “play and win daily” series where gamers can participate every day and get rewarded for it while also getting an opportunity to compete with professional teams for the ultimate championship.
As per the details available on the official platform, the Gaming Masters 2.0 tournament will be a three-month-long event. It will kick off on November 23rd and conclude on January 10th. Qualifier 1 will run from November 23rd through the 27th. Similarly, Qualifier 2 will be held from November 30th to December 4th, Qualifier 3 goes from December 7th till December 11th, and Qualifier 4 will be held from December 14th to December 18th. Post qualifiers, the “road to finale” will begin on December 21st.
Both Jio and non-Jio users are eligible to participate. There is no participation fee.
