Release Of “Saints Row” Reboot Delayed

According to a recent financial statement from Embracer Group, the Saints Row reboot has reportedly been delayed from its original release date, which was scheduled for February of 2022. According to Volition’s chief creative officer, Jim Boone, the game is now expected to launch on August 23rd, 2022.

“In order to put the product quality first and optimize the outcome for all parties – gamers, employees, shareholders – we have decided to postpone a number of releases from FY 21/22 to FY 22/23,” read the company’s financial documents. “This includes Saints Row and another unannounced but earlier expected AAA title in the fourth quarter.”

In the financial report, Embracer Group revealed that its subsidiaries would be releasing 25 AAA games between now and March of 2026. In May of 2020, the organization reportedly had 118 total games in development.
