Esport Supply recently unveiled a partnership with the Southern University Law Center (SULC). This deal will see the two parties work together to build an esports lab for the school.
“The Mixed Reality Virtual Innovation Gaming and Esports Institute looks forward to the partnership with Esport Supply. This project allows us to create relationships with industry and develop programming not only for SULC students but Southern University students, K-12, and unrepresented communities,” said Chris Turner, Coordinator of SULC’s Mixed Reality Virtual Innovation Gaming and Esports Institute. “We want to be the gateway to the metaverse for all that are interested. This is only the start of changing culture and mindset for this community and beyond.”
At this time, it is unclear when the facility will be opened. However, a launch date for the esports lab is “in the works” according to Esports Insider.
Southern University is a public school located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It is reportedly the largest HBCU in the state.
