The American Video Game League (AVGL), which is a collegiate esports production company, recently unveiled a partnership with Imane “Pokimane” Anys. This deal saw the two entities launch a $100,000 scholarship program for college students interested in gaming and esports.

The AVGL and Pokimane will each donate $50,000 to the fund. This money will be divided amongst ten scholarship winners, who will receive $10,000 each. Additionally, the AVGL will make another donation of $50,000 to the ten scholarship recipients.

“With both of my parents being teachers, I’m especially proud to be launching another scholarship to help students with a gaming passion,” said Anys. “I know firsthand that it’s not easy to balance schoolwork and a gaming career. I hope that this scholarship will alleviate that stress for aspiring gaming content creators and players.”

Applications for the scholarship are open until December 31st, 2021. The first scholarship winners will reportedly be revealed in February of next year.
