Esports Startup Champria Raises $1 Million In Pre-Seed Round

The esports technology company Champria announced a $1 million pre-seed round led by Kickstart Fund, as well as big-time angel investors like New Mexico Arrowhead Innovation Fund, Gokul Rajaram, David Carrico, and several others. According to the release, the funding round aims to fuel Champria’s growth, helping it expand into new game titles while increasing its staff. The company also aims to strengthen its strategic partnerships and work on more events.

“Being a former esports athlete, I know the struggle that recruiting players, scheduling scrimmages, and managing a team can be,” said Zeke Chavez, Founder of Champria. “With this round of funding, we will be able to increase our offering and give aspiring esports athletes the ability to take the hassle out of these pain points and focus on what truly matters to them, increasing their skill level so that they can accomplish their dreams.”

Since January, the company has reportedly registered over 2,000 teams and scheduled almost 10,000 matches in hit games like Rocket League and Overwatch.

Founded in 2020, Champria focuses on a set of technologies to help players find teams and improve their skills. The company uses proprietary technology to connect esports players through recruitment, scrimmages, and team management.
