Herschel “Dr DisRespect” Beahm IV is once again causing controversy within the gaming industry. During a recent live stream, Dr Disrespect announced he was cutting ties with the Esport Awards. This came after the organization elected to “completely censor the streamer in order to comply with Twitch’s rules on showing banned streamers during the event.”
“We had a good run with Esports Awards. After this last one, at this point, don’t even mention the Doc,” Beahm IV said. “Don’t even throw me up on any social media, don’t do anything. The first year dropping me completely. And then this year…”
Dr DisRespect was nominated as a finalist for “Streamer of the Year” during the 2021 Esports Awards. He ended up losing to Ibai “Ibai” Llanos.
