On September 9th, Sony Group Corp. announced the company would be producing several new games for the PlayStation 5. This will include a sequel to the hit 2018 game Spider-Man as well as a remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

This news was first revealed during a 40-minute event that featured several trailers for the upcoming games. During the showcase, Insomniac Games, the studio that created Spider-Man, revealed it would also be producing a Wolverine video game over the next few years.

“Wolverine continually came up as the character we’d be really stoked to work on together,” wrote Insomniac’s Ryan Schneider. “Both heroes [Spider-Man and Wolverine] feel deeply compelled to defend people who are less able to do so.”

Wolverine is currently being developed by Insomniac Games for the PlayStation 5. A release window for the game has not been revealed at this time.
