50 Riders Confirmed To Compete In UCI Cycling Esports World Championships 2022

The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and Zwift have confirmed 50 riders who will progress from the open Continental Qualifiers. They will compete for their nations at the UCI Cycling World Championships 2022, on February 26th, 2022.

Last year was the first-ever UCI Cycling Esports World Championships. However, this year, for the first time ever, Continental Qualifier races were held to provide an open and equitable pathway to participate in the elite UCI World Championship event.

The Continental Qualifiers were open to all cycling esports racers around the globe and saw a total of 550 eligible riders compete for a chance to represent their country in the upcoming event in February.

The UCI Cycling Esports World Championships 2022 will be held on the Knickerbocker Circuit in Zwift’s New York virtual world, where rolling roads and steep gradients will make for a selective and difficult race.
