Meta recently announced it had launched the first-ever Gaming Community Challenge in India. The Game Of Tribes challenge aims to help Indian website administrators build a thriving gaming community through Facebook.

The Game Of Tribes challenge in India is expected to last six months. In order to win, communities on Facebook must compete head-to-head for monthly prizes. The challenge will be split into two communities: Lit and Legends. Lit communities are less than a year old while Legends communities have existed for over a year.

“We are committed to growing the gaming ecosystem in the country and through Game of Tribes we will offer connection and support to gaming communities looking to upgrade their skills and expand their gaming connections,” said Manish Chopra, the Director and Head of Partnerships India at Meta. “In India, more than 20 million people were active members in Facebook gaming groups, between July and August this year and this is a unique opportunity for gaming enthusiasts to interact and learn from thousands of elite gaming groups, creators, community builders and build engaged gaming communities on Facebook.”

Registration for Game Of Tribes is open now. Interested individuals can sign their groups up for the challenge through the official Facebook website.
