The Pittsburgh Knights recently announced they had agreed to a partnership with the lighter manufacturer Zippo. This deal will see Zippo’s branding featured on Pittsburgh Knights jerseys. Additionally, a number of collaborations are planned between Zippo and the Knights’ content creators.
The two entities will also work together on exclusive content series, giveaways, and a partnership for the Knight’s upcoming Rocket League tournament. Zippo served as the title sponsor for the Knights Rocket League Invitational Winter Bash, which was held in December.
“The partnership between the two companies is rooted in the shared belief of integrity, innovation, grit, and tradition,” said William Kolasa, senior director of digital at Zippo. “The Pittsburgh Knights feature some of the most talented competitors in the world, and we’re thrilled to team up with the franchise and equip their awesome players with the best industry-leading gaming gear Zippo has to offer.”
This is not the first time Zippo has ventured into esports. In fact, the company has partnered with other well-known gaming brands like the Chicago Huntsmen and NRG.
