H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa bin Shakhbout Al Nahayan, the President of the Emirates Esports Association, recently said the UAE will be allowed to compete in esports internationally over the next few years. This announcement was made during a panel discussion that took place during the fourth edition of the Global Manufacturing and Industrialisation Summit, which was held on November 26th in Dubai.
“The UAE has a lot to offer esports on an international level, and we are proud to support the nation’s message of tolerance by organizing the UAE Tolerance Esports Games championship, which reflects the spirit of esports that connect people regardless of their nationalities and backgrounds,” said H.H. Sheikh Sultan.
Eventually, the conference ended with a strategic partnership agreement being signed between the Global Esports Federation and the Emirates Esports Association. This deal aims to enhance the creation of setting strategies and the development of the esports industry in the Middle East.
