Singapore-based esports company, Bleed Esports, has secured a $50.8 million round of funding, led by Asia Venture Capital. The exclusive partnership grants the investment firm firect-to-consumer rights to Bleed Esports products and allows them to do limited-edition merchandise drops. The funds will also allow further flexibility for Bleed Esports to recruit and build and all-star lineup within the Asia-Pacific Region.
Bleed Esports made waves in the competitive scene since singing Jacob “pyth” Mourujärvi, who becomes the first professional European VALORANT player to relocate to Asia. The Singaporean team has been competing in various online events, and currently boasts a 7-game win streak since the roster change.
And while Southeast Asia has yet to win any championships, with a mix of new players from Sweden and Singapore, Bleed Esports looks to lead the way for Southeast Asia’s eventual rise to prominence in the upcoming VALORANT Champions Tour 2022.
Bleed Esports VALORANT roster is as follows:
- Lee “LEXY” Jun Hao Xavier
- Darren “FirstLove” Mok
- Lim “lenne” You Xiang Lionel
- Derrick “Deryeon” Yee
- Jacob “pyth” Mourujärvi
- Max “maxie” Lönnström (IGL)
- Tyler “juicy” James (Loan)
