Thorin Goes On Twitter Rant Following Reveal Of ESL All-Women’s CS:GO Circuit

CS:GO broadcaster and personality, Thorin, went on a bizarre Twitter rant following the announcement of ESL’s all-female circuit late last month. His rant was quite a shock to the global esports community as he continuously blocked random women within the gaming industry, unblocked them to randomly quote tweet them with an insult, and then blocked them again. He tweeted that women in the esports industry weren’t willing to address actual points and were blindly hating on people for being cisgender men. Thorin’s tweets spanned several days, getting more and more offensive each time.

“Feminism! Feminism! Ha! Feminism, Thorin,” he tweeted. “Block me, BLOCK ME, BLOCK ME PU**Y LIKE YOUR MOTHER THE WH**RE! OMG HE BLOCKED ME JUST FOR BEING A WOMAN AND DISAGREEING WITH HIM. Wonder why only cynical marketers and future sex offender male feminists want to help you gals and you can’t seem to get the most talented and prolific individuals in this industry to engage with you or your initiatives? Tell you what, you do that cute thing where you tell me to get out of the industry I built and still rests on my f**king shoulders. I AM ESPORTS!”

While Thorin’s disdain for the all-female CS:GO tournament is concerning, it’s his anger-fueled harassment of women that is most baffling, turning what should have been wonderful news for women gamers into a very troubling and shocking saga.

As of right now, Thorin has yet to face any discipline from leaders in the esports community for his comments, and still holds his job in broadcasting.
