Progressive Insurance Partners With Immortals Esports Team

Progressive Insurance has partnered with Immortals in a deal which will see the auto insurer host Twitch streams on the channels of Immortals talent creators. Broadcasts will feature custom Progressive banners and offer viewers the chance to score prizes. They will also have a presence at major esports events.

“Immortals’ LCS team is excited and proud to partner with Progressive Insurance,” said Jon Tuck, the CCO of Immortals Gaming Club. “Progressive is a leader in its field and aligns well with Immortals’ competitive spirit. We look forward to partnering with Progressive to bring our fans fun, unique gaming content as well as the competitive coverage our fans crave.”

The shared Minecraft venue also suggests that Progressive is testing out strategies related to the metaverse, which has close ties to gaming. Other companies have turned to platforms similar to Minecraft, like Roblox, to develop virtual spaces where consumers can participate in activities, try on goods and learn more about products and services.

This isn’t the insurance firm’s first partnership in esports with the company previously sponsoring Super Smash Bros tournaments in 2019.
