QuiverTree Media, a company that combines entertainment with aviation experiences, recently announced it had signed an exclusive 12-month agreement with Movistar Riders in a deal that will see the company distribute 58 episodes of esports-related content to in-flight entertainment systems. This content will be available on flights operated by Iberia Express, VivaAerobus, Volotea, Air Nostrum, Orbest, Sun Express, Pegaso, Binter, and W2Fly.
“The world of eSports already competes with real-life sports in terms of viewership, audience interest, and advertising spend. With this new reality, QuiverTree Media had to offer this new content to customers,” said Vincent Tomasoni, the VP of Operations at QuiverTree Media.
Movistar Riders will offer a variety of videos and content. This includes documentaries covering the team, masterclasses in Fortnite, full seasons of games, and other forms of entertainment like e-Cats.
This will likely be a huge growth opportunity for the Spanish gaming organization. QuiverTree Media expects the content to be available to as many as 28 million passengers this year.
