For the second time, Romania will be host to the International Esports Federation’s (IESF) flagship World Esports Championships in 2023. Iași, Romania will be the lucky city this time after Bucharest held the last Romanian iteration of the tournament in 2013. More than 1,200 players are due to participate, according to the IESF.
The tournament will be run from November 27th to December 9th and will feature a record prize pool of $500,000.
Dota 2, Tekken 7, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and the eFootball series will return. The hit mobile games PUBG Mobile and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang will be featured at the event for the first time in 2023.
