Online cycling platform Zwift has agreed to a four-year deal to become the presenting partner of the Paris-Roubaix Femmes. The annual race will now be known as Paris-Roubaix Femmes Avec Zwift, with this year’s event being held on April 16th in France. The sponsorship expands Zwift’s investment in women’s cycling as the gamified fitness company also aims to be the presenting partner of this year’s inaugural Tour de France Femmes in July.
“Alongside the Tour de France Femmes Avec Zwift, this is a huge opportunity to shine a light on one of the most iconic and exciting races on the Tour and showcase the incredible quality and talent of the women’s peloton,” said Eric Min, the CEO of Zwift. “The ‘Hell of the North’ is a highlight of the cycling calendar and I’m sure it will captivate audiences across the world and inspire women everywhere to begin their own cycling journey.”
Zwfit is a fitness app that wirelessly connects to a user’s indoor bicycle trainer or treadmill so that their real-world movements translate on-screen as they compete against other users in Zwift’s virtual cycling and running worlds.
Zwift held a virtual Tour de France in 2020 and hosts esports races for the UCI, IOC, World Triathlon, and the Collins Cup.
