DoorDash was recently named the official on-demand delivery platform of Knicks Gaming, the Westchester Knicks, and the New York Knicks NBA team. This comes following a partnership agreement between the food delivery service and the Madison Square Garden Sports Corporation. Moving forward, DoorDash’s branding and logos will now be prominently featured during Knicks events, including all Knicks Gaming activations and competitions.
To celebrate the beginning of this partnership, the two sides have come together to launch the Donation Dash project. This will see the parties work to support kids and teens that are victims of food insecurity. For every three-pointer made by the Knicks during the 2021-22 season, the Knicks and DoorDash will provide a meal to the No Kid Hungry foundation. As of March 17th, DoorDash and MSG Sports have donated over 400,000 meals to the non-profit organization.
DoorDash is also teaming up with Knicks star RJ Barrett as part of this deal. Now, fans can get a look at some of the basketball player’s favorite dishes to order through the food delivery service.
“I’ve always loved the connection sports create between communities. We are thrilled to be the official on-demand delivery partner of the Knicks, Westchester Knicks, and Knicks Gaming and look forward to collaborating meaningfully together over the course of our partnership,” said Vanessa Carr, DoorDash’s Director of Partnership Marketing. “In addition to creating unique fan experiences, this partnership will merge food, sport, and culture as we join forces to make an impact in New York City and beyond.”
