Newegg, a leading global technology e-commerce retailer, was featured at PAX East in the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center, with an 8-foot, 8-inch fully lit robot costume that has a person inside walking around the expo hall during the event.
On display in the booth were ABS (Advanced Battlestations) gaming desktop PCs and top brand laptops powered by the 12th Gen Intel Core processor family. At Newegg’s “Order Corner,” attendees were able to buy PAX East-exclusive offers on ABS gaming systems and bundles, all with Intel Core processors inside.
The robot, Core Bot, was inspired by a gaming computer come to life. Weighing 110 pounds with over 1,000 LED lights, Core Bot featured both Newegg and Intel logos on its chassis and took 3,000 hours to build. The massive mechanical presence with its costume maker inside was available for photos and videos throughout the four event days.
