On July 4th, Allied Market Research released new findings from its recent analysis of the global gaming accessories market. In 2021, the market was worth $6.1 billion. However, by 2030, that number is expected to jump to $14.4 billion, meaning the sector will record a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9.9% over the next eight years.
“Massive demand for virtual reality headsets and acceptance of handheld gaming consoles drive the growth of the global gaming accessories market,” the report reads. “Moreover, the emergence of new gaming concepts with advanced graphics-based video requirements will further enlarge scope of gaming accessories. However, drop-in costs of gaming accessories will open new growth avenues for the market.”
The North American sector registered the largest accessories market share in 2021. However, the APAC region is expected to grow the most during the aforementioned forecast period.
The headset industry made up the largest market share for the sector in 2021, accounting for almost 33% of all accessory sales. Headsets will also experience the highest CAGR of all accessories in the sector at 10.3% from 2022 to 2030.
