Mastercard Wants To Promote Saudi Gaming

One of the world’s most recognizable financial services companies is looking to help expand the Saudi Arabian gaming scene. This comes after Mastercard announced it had teamed up with the Saudi Esports Federation.

On August 15th, the famous banking company announced it had partnered with the SEF to become an official sponsor of Gamers8, the world’s largest gaming and esports event. Through this deal, Mastercard will create and distribute a range of activities, highlights, and activations that provide gaming enthusiasts throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a “one-of-a-kind experience.”

“Gamers8 is shaping up as a truly unique and history-making event — one that showcases the Kingdom’s growth as a leading digital hub, and provides people access to a wholly immersive experience,” said Adam Jones, the Country General Manager for the MENA Central region at Mastercard. “We are delighted to be working with the Saudi Esports Federation and our network to deliver the greatest esports and gaming event ever. Mastercard is creating meaningful connections with consumers by tapping into their passions, and this passion-led approach enables us to engage with the gaming and esports communities in Priceless ways that will create lasting memories. Our goal is to fully realize the potential of Gamers8 as a unique event; one that invites people to embark on a journey of discovery, fuel their passions, build memories for a lifetime and start something priceless.”

For those of you that may not know, Gamers8 is a global gaming and esports festival held in Riyadh that runs through September 8th. This esports event series is expected to bring over two million visitors to the Kingdom.
