Following the release of the newest season of Apex Legends, player counts for the game have skyrocketed. As a matter of fact, Apex set a franchise record for peak Steam users with over 500,000 concurrent players the day after the new season began.

According to Steam Charts, Apex Legends topped out at 510,286. As a result, it is just the eighth game of all time to reach the half-million milestone on Steam, joining other hit games including PUBG: Battlegrounds, Lost Ark, CS:GO, Dota 2, Elden Ring, New World, and Cyberpunk 2077.

As we all know, Steam represents a small portion of the total number of players enjoying a game. Since Apex Legends is available on most consoles and gaming platforms, this three-year-old game probably recorded much more than just a half-million concurrent players.

Since Apex was released in February of 2019, it has emerged as one of the most played video games in the world. According to a July 4th article from Dexerto, over 130 million people have played Apex Legends since the game’s launch.
