The gaming start-up company Outscal recently announced it had secured $1.5 million in a seed funding round. Kalaari Capital was the sole investor in this financing round.

This money will go towards helping Outscal build a community-first education-technology platform for gaming industry talent that allows for the acceleration of game development. Moreover, these funds will help the company expand into Web3 projects.

“Outscal is enabling many new careers in the gaming industry,” said Kalaari’s managing director, Vani Kola. “Delighted to partner with Mayank Grover and his team as they look to solve one of the biggest challenges in the gaming industry: the shortage of tech talent.”

Outscal is a Dehli-based edtech gaming company that was founded by Mayank Grover. According to Kola, Outscal has over 250 students enrolled in at least 100 game development studios. PTW, GSN Games, nCore Games, LILA Games, and Playshifu are some of the organizations Outscal has partnered with.
