You Can Now Link Your PlayStation And Steam Accounts

It was recently announced that gamers can begin linking their Steam accounts to their PlayStation Network accounts, allowing users to gain access to free in-game items for PC titles. This is just the latest step Sony is taking to become a more PC-centric gaming company.

“Link your Steam Account to PlayStation Network to receive unlocks in this and other PlayStation Studios games,” reads the PlayStation’s PC registration website. “You will also receive the latest news, updates, and offers from PlayStation Studios games on PC or PlayStation platforms.”

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is the first game that will be getting this treatment. By linking your PSN account to Steam, you can claim cosmetics and in-game bonuses, including two extra skill points.

Linking accounts is easy. You have to create a Sony account for the PlayStation Network, or you can sign in by using an existing Sony account and password. If you have a new account, you can opt-in for email and console messages when creating your account. Existing accounts can opt-in for these messages by simply accessing the “notifications” tab.
