Last week, Telia Company became the first European Union operator to offer its customers Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. The service will provide players with access to hundreds of games on Android mobile devices, Xbox consoles, and Windows 10 PCs through Telia’s networks. The service is expected to be free to Telia customers for one month.
“With powerful services like Xbox Game Pass streamed over our high-speed mobile networks, our customers can access AAA console games not previously available on mobile devices. And this is just the start,” said Henrik Lönnevi, the Chief Commercial Officer, Consumer at Telia Sweden. “This partnership is a glimpse into the future where we leverage computing resources in the cloud with 5G to reinvent how we deliver exciting new gaming experiences to mobile devices, without the need for dedicated gaming hardware.”
According to Umlaut, Telia has “the best mobile network in Sweden.” Telia has already launched 5G in over 20 cities throughout Sweden. The company’s goal is to cover more than 90% of the nation with 5G by 2023.
