The Philadelphia Union, a Major League Soccer team, recently announced the franchise is teaming up with Esports Entertainment Group to host Gaming For Good. The virtual fundraiser will be held on April 20th from 6 pm to 7:30 pm.
“Join us on April 20 for a virtual fundraiser benefiting the Philadelphia Union Foundation’s drive to build the soccer program in the Chester School District. Many of the top returning and new Union players will be on hand because they think it has been far too long since they were able to directly interact with fans, and they have missed you,” the Philadelphia Union website reads. “Tune in, ask the guys questions, and find out which players are not only great with the ball at their feet but also with a controller in their hands as they play FIFA21, give away prizes, and help raise money for an incredibly worthy cause.”
The goal of the event is to help raise $10,000 for the Chester School District soccer program. If the organization hits the $10,000 mark, then an individual will match that amount in a donation to the Chester Clippers soccer team.
The Profit‘s Take:
Esports Entertainment Group continues to lead the way among all esports companies with regards to traditional sports partnerships. These are deals and relationships that will pay off in a big way long-term.
