On June 23rd, Esports Technologies Inc. announced it had filed a patent for the company’s betting and esports live streaming technologies. The patent covers proprietary technology across numerous platforms, including Twitch, YouTube, Facebook Gaming, and so on.
“How we watch and bet on sports has changed and this patent-pending technology is the next step,” said Esports Technologies’ CEO Aaron Speach. “Our technology will allow bettors to stay in the zone, accessing everything they need right there in the browser without ever leaving their streaming environment. The industry is ripe for this kind of innovation. This patent filing is the first step for us in our continued journey to enhance the wagering experience for everyone.”
Following that news, Esports Technologies revealed the company had been added to the broad-market Russell 3000 Index and the Russell Microcap Index. These additions took effect on June 28th.
