Atari VCS Home Gaming System To Make Retail Debut On June 15th

Atari recently announced that its new PC/console hybrid gaming system, the Atari VCS, will be available to purchase in-stores beginning on June 15th. All retailers that carry the product will also offer unique launch-day promotions and limited-time incentives.

“The day that many eager Atari fans have been waiting for is almost here,” said Michael Arzt, COO of Atari VCS and Connected Devices. “The Atari VCS has been well-received by our early adopter community, and we are thrilled that more people will have the opportunity to enjoy everything that the platform has to offer today, and as we roll out more and more new content and features in the future. We also deeply appreciate the strong support of our retail launch partners, including GameStop, Best Buy, and Micro Center during this exciting time.”

Atari recently revealed numerous new titles for the new gaming system. Some of the games that will be available on the device include D/GenerationJetboard Joust, and Utopos.

Atari VCS systems have a starting price of roughly $299.99. A classic joystick or modern controller can also be purchased separately for $59.99. The whole bundle, which features the controllers and the system, will reportedly cost $399.99.
