In late May, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, which is the central governing body of the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Pakistan, recently approved a proposal to launch an esports initiative in the region. The project aims to grow and expand esports throughout Pakistan.
Under the proposal, the directorate of general sports and the directorate of youth affairs will work to set up esports academies and events across the province. This news comes following an approved summary move by the relevant department.
“Both individual and huge events are organized year-round with audience physically present in thousands and online for live streaming,” said a government document.
