LG Renews Sponsorship With “Battle Academy” Series

On June 8th, LG Business Solutions USA announced it had renewed its partnership with the collegiate esports tournament series Battle Academy. As a part of the deal, LG’s UltraGear monitors will continue to serve as the tournament series’ official gaming monitor.

According to a press release, the partnership was renewed because of the success of the 2020 Battle Academy series. Several participants from last year’s events were offered esports scholarships by various colleges and universities.

Battle Academy’s 2020 launch was an overwhelming success that has given students a new avenue to hone their skills in multiple competitive esports games while attracting interest and even financial assistance from colleges looking to bolster their nascent esports programs and rosters,” said LG Business Solutions USA gaming monitor expert, Aaron Addison. “As a leading sponsor for the tournament, LG Business Solutions USA provides professional broadcasters to cover the live, online competitions on Twitch, solidifying the series as a force to be reckoned with amid a rapid rise in viewership and general interest.”

Battle Academy is produced by UGC EDU, which is a division of Ultimate Gaming Championship. The series looks to provide an “organized” and “education-focused competition league.”
