On June 16th, Rockstar Games announced that the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii versions of GTA Online will be shut down this coming winter. The company also said it will stop tracking website statistics through the Rockstar Games Social Club. Rockstar then went on to say that Shark Cash Cards will soon stop being sold on GTA Online for the three devices.
“All these changes will have no impact on access or progress in Story Mode for any of these titles on either platform,” Rockstar Games said in a blog post. “We’d like to thank the GTA Online community for their continued support, and look forward to seeing players continue their journey in Los Santos with us on new platforms.”
GTA Online and the statistics website are scheduled to be shut down on December 16th. Shark Cash Cards will stop being sold on the aforementioned consoles beginning on September 15th.
