May Was A Busy Month For Simplicity Esports And Gaming

On May 20th, Simplicity Esports and Gaming announced it will be presenting virtually at the upcoming LD Micro Invitational XI event scheduled this month. Company CEO Roman Franklin will be the person giving the presentation.

The 2021 LD Micro Invitational will take place from June 8th to June 10th on the Sequire Virtual Events platform. The festivities go from 10:00 am EST to 6:00 PM EST each day.

Just four days later, Simplicity Esports unveiled plans to continue the expansion of the company’s esports center footprint. As a result, the organization said that it wants to build “at least 30 new esports gaming centers over the next 18 to 24 months.”

“I believe the disruptions in commercial real estate caused by COVID-19 lockdowns have created a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to more than double the size of our gaming center footprint with percentage rent leases,” said CEO Roman Franklin. “We are seizing that opportunity by securing many attractive spaces while some COVID-19 restrictions are still in place. I expect the opening of these locations to result in significant revenue growth, and profitability once they are operating at full capacity.”

Simplicity Esports and Gaming had recently reported the organization’s esports centers experienced record growth in both March and April. The company also said the gaming centers generated $3 million in revenue in 2019.
