On July 18th, the International Esports Federation (IESF) announced the Global Esports Executive Summit (GEES21) will be a mixture of both virtual and in-person attendance. At this time, the event, which is scheduled for August 31st and September 1st, will be held at the Busan Esports Arena in South Korea.
Speakers will discuss five core elements of gaming. This is expected to include “Fostering Growing Relationships”, “The Next Level of Esports”, “Diversity and Inclusion in Esports”, “Integrating Esports into Education” and “Understanding the Esports Landscape”.
Just two days later, the organization unveiled an agreement with White Lite LLC. This deal aims to bring more esports tournaments to Latin American countries.
This partnership will also lead to the creation of an IESF LATAM Open Esports Championship. It is being reported that the region will host at least five gaming championship tournaments starting next year
