“Arcane’s” “Enemy” Tops Spotify Charts For The Third Consecutive Week

“Enemy,” the collaboration between Imagine Dragons and J.I.D. has been the top rock song on Spotify for three straight weeks, according to the statistics page, SpotifyCharts. The Arcane theme song has been featured in the top 100 on the rock charts since its debut on October 28th.

In its first week after being released, “Enemy” was second only to Måneskin’s “I Wanna Be Your Slave,” but surpassed it three weeks ago while accruing 70 million streams on Spotify. Considering Arcane’s success, the original soundtrack’s numbers hardly come as a surprise. The animated series’ soundtrack reached over 40 million streams just in its first week on Spotify.

“Enemy” marks the second collaboration between Imagine Dragons and Riot Games, who worked together in 2014 for the song “Warriors,” the first League of Legends World Championship anthem ever. Even after seven years, “Warriors” is still one of the most popular and beloved songs in the League community, with over 450 million streams on Spotify and almost 350 million views on YouTube.

With “Warriors” in mind, League fans knew “Enemy” was going to be a hit song even before its release, and J.I.D.’s addition to the lineup of artists brought another element to the already stellar composition. The artists even performed the song during the MTV Music Awards 2021.
