Roc Nation, Uplive, And GCN Set To Host Video Game Tournament

On October 1st, Uplive teamed up with Roc Nation Sports and GCN Inc. to produce a pro-am esports tournament. This Call of Duty series is expected to feature some of the most famous athletes in the world.

An open bracket tournament, which was designed for the general public, began on October 10th. Players could form two-person teams to compete in the event by downloading the Uplive app. From this competition, eight teams will advance to the finals which will take place on October 12th.

The final eight teams will compete against some of the most popular athletes on the Roc Nation Sports roster. This will include, NFLers Leonard Fournette, Todd Gurley, and Ronnie Staley, MLBer Jazz Chisholm, and pro basketball player Kevin Porter Jr.

The pro-am winner will take home a $10,000 prize. Additionally, a $10,000 donation will be made on the winner’s behalf to the Call of Duty Endowment. The second-place team will receive $3,000 while the third-place team will be given a $2,000 prize.
