Amazon recently announced it would be making upgrades to its cloud gaming platform Luna. According to Yahoo! Finance, Amazon hopes that these changes will help Luna “take on Microsoft.”
Amazon revealed it would be adding more games to its catalog. The company also said it will be creating a new mode called Luna Couch which will make it easier for users to play couch co-op games online with their friends.
Amazon also plans on creating a new family-friendly video game channel as well as a retro gaming channel. The Family Channel, which costs $2.99 per month, gives subscribers unlimited access to 35 different games targeted at children.
Luna is the cloud gaming platform that was launched by Amazon in 2020. Early access subscriptions for the video game service have a starting price of $5.99 per month.
