Tier One Entertainment Unveils Expansion Plans

On October 26th, Tier One Entertainment announced that it was expanding its operations beyond the SEA region into Japan as it looks to discover “the hottest up-and-coming local talents to sign and develop.” This expansion plan was first revealed after T1 signed an investment deal with KAYAC and Warner Music Group.

This deal will also see T1 try to establish an idol group (entertainment group) in Japan to make gaming more mainstream. This group, which is currently referred to as “Project 4”, will be made up of four members. So far, T1 has announced that one of the members will be the cosplayer Harry “har_fie” Field.

“Japan is a country with a long history both in gaming and innovation in multimedia. With over 57% of its population being gamers, there’s a big opportunity for us to grow our brand,” said Tryke Gutierrez, the co-founder of Tier One, in a press release. “Japan has always been my second home and is a country that’s really close to my heart.”

Tier One is one of the leading entertainment companies in all of Southeastern Asia. The organization is currently headquartered in Singapore.
