Mumbai City FC Launches Official Esports Team

On November 25th, Mumbai City FC announced it was launching an official esports team. According to a press release from the club, this move makes Mumbai City FC the first Indian soccer team to participate in the FIFA Global Series.

“We are confident that we have acquired the services of two incredibly talented FIFA players who will help this club achieve greatly on an international stage and lay a strong foundation for Mumbai City to grow their Esports efforts in the future,” said Kandarp Chandra, the CEO of Mumbai City FC.

So far, the team has signed two players to its roster: Saksham “Sakky” Rattan and Siddh “Jenasidfc” Chandarana. Rattan and Chandarana will represent the club in both international and national FIFA 22 events, including the FIFA Global Series.
