Mitch Austin Starts His Own “FIFA” Esports Team

Former Soccer player Mitch Austin has started his own FIFA esports team, Squad False 9. His goal is to attract as many top players as possible and gradually pave the way for the popularity of esports in Australia, where it’s still seemingly in its infancy. Austin decided to create this team while recovering from an injury he suffered in a car accident in September that temporarily derailed his professional soccer comeback.

“I’ve wanted to set up a FIFA esports organization in the last few years, but I haven’t started, and while I was recovering, I thought it was a good time,” Austin said. “I set it up with my sister Brit, my old E-League teammate Mo Zwed, and my British friend. We are all passionate about growing the esports scene in Australia. We are growing rapidly with some of the best esports players in Oceania on our team. We also work closely with EA. And we are currently inviting new sponsors. We have high goals and the dream of all esports teams is to compete for players in the E-World Cup at the end of the year.”

While Austin managed to show a really good performance in esports, his ultimate goal is to compete at the E-World Cup on a professional level with his teammates. Austin is on the list of people who have played both soccer and competitive esports professionally.

In addition to physical activity and esports, students will learn more about a healthy lifestyle and combine studies with everyday routine. This school is the first one in Europe that is on a high level.
