Over 207 million people in India watched video game live streams through Facebook between the months of July and August of this year. These numbers were first reported by the social networking giant.

“For those of us who have been following the Indian digital industry for a while, there’s always been a belief that India is ready for gaming to take off in a substantial way. Finally, this is starting to happen. The last year and a half has seen a massive acceleration in gaming and we’re seeing this on Facebook too,” said Facebook’s India Managing Director Ajit Mohan.

Facebook reported that PUBG Mobile was the most streamed game by content creators during this time period. Other games that were often streamed through the social media platform include Free Fire and Grand Theft Auto V.

Additionally, Facebook revealed that India was the company’s third-largest global gaming market during this time. The organization said that 234 million video game streaming sessions took place during July and August.
