Matt McCloskey has been named the Vice President and General Manager of the United States for the Mobile Premier League. In this role, McCloskey will be tasked with overseeing company growth and developing strategies to help the mobile esports platform grow in the USA.
“Matt’s experience in gaming and esports, as well as his ability to spearhead initiatives for iconic brands, make him a perfect fit for Mobile Premier League,” said Sai Srinivas, the CEO of MPL. “As we continue to rapidly expand our presence around the world, the US is one of our most important growth markets and Matt’s proven leadership will help us reach our potential in the US.”
Matt McCloskey has been working in the esports industry for quite some time. Before joining the MPL, he held high-ranking positions with 343 Industries and Twitch.
The MPL, which was founded in 2018, has become one of the largest mobile gaming platforms in Asia with over 85 registered users. In July of 2021, the organization first announced it would begin expanding into the United States.
