WB Games Reportedly Working On “Super Smash Bros.” Style Multiverse Fighting Game

According to recent reports, WB Games is working on launching a Super Smash Bros.-inspired multiverse fighting game. While nothing about the game, Multiversus, has been confirmed, details continue to come out about the upcoming fighting title.

Information about the game was first leaked on Reddit. In an October 22nd post, user u/hugeleakeractually claimed that NetherRealm Studios, the company behind the Mortal Kombat games, was working on “a Super Smash Bros.-inspired platform fighter.” Shortly after this leak, WB reportedly trademarked the name “Multiversus”.

A leak also revealed some of the playable characters that are expected to appear in the game. This includes beloved TV and movie icons like Batman, Shaggy, Steven Universe, Rick Sanchez, Bugs Bunny, Gandalf, and so on.

At this time, the game has not been officially confirmed by NetherRealm Studios or WB Games. However, it seems to be far along in the development process, so an announcement should be expected soon according to Inverse.
