Here Were The Top-Selling Games And Consoles Of October

The NDP Group recently unveiled its monthly sales report. This research provided a clear snapshot of the U.S. gaming market, including the top-selling consoles, games, and accessories of October of this year.

The Nintendo Switch was October’s best-selling console in terms of units shipped and dollar sales. Overall, the PlayStation 5 remains the year’s best-selling video game console in terms of dollars while the Switch leads the market in units shipped this year.

Far Cry 6 was October’s best-selling video game in the United States. Back 4 Blood finished the month in second place while Metroid: Dread placed third.

Total spending on hardware increased by 82% hitting a mark of $472 million. Additionally, year-to-date spending on video game hardware went up 53% to $3.9 billion.

Spending on accessories jumped by 5% in October. Overall, the gaming accessories market was valued at $158 million in the United States last month.
